Turn on / off Automatic Vulnerability

Upgrades are being made to our Internet Security Services. Learn how to Download and install Internet Security Services to get the most current version.

Internet Security Services automatically checks your system for vulnerabilities and alerts you about them.

To turn off automatic Vulnerability scan:

  1. Open the Internet Security Services.
  2. Click on the Protection icon.

  3. Click the Vulnerability icon.

  4. Click checkmark to turn off Vulnerability scan or to turn off certain scans click on the checkmark beside their names:
  • Critical Windows updates: Checks to see if your computer has the latest critical security updates from Microsoft.
  • Application updates: Checks to see if the applications installed on your system are up-to-date.
  • Weak passwords: Checks to see if  the passwords for your Windows accounts are strong.
  • Media autorun: Checks the status of the Windows Autorun feature. This feature enables applications to be automatically started from CDs, DVDs, USB drives or other external devices. It is recommended to disable this Windows feature to prevent the spread of malware from removable media.

  4. Click X to turn on Vulnerability scan or to turn on certain scans click on the checkmark beside their names:
