Download and Install Bell Aliant Backup Manager

 

What you need before you start

 
 

  1. Go and Login into the Aliant Personal Vault website.

     
  2. On the main page click on the Download now image.

     



     

  3. Click on Run to start the installation.

     
  4. Click on Next.

     



     

  5. Click on Next.

     



     

  6. Click on Install.

     



     

  7. Click on Next.

     



     

  8. Click on Close.

     



     

  9. Double-click on the Aliant Backup Manager shortcut on the desktop.

     
  10. Enter the Personal Vault username and password and click Next.

     



     

  11. On the Select PC page, provide a name for the computer you are currently using. The default value is the Windows computer name, but you can change it if you want to use a different name. Click Next.

    Please Note : If you are installing the Backup Manager on a computer that was previously backed up, you can select the corresponding option to look up and select the previously used machine name. For example, if your computer had a hard-drive failure and you are reinstalling software, you can subsequently restore all previously backed up files and folders to this computer.



     



     

  12. On the Select Files page, select which files and folders you would like to back up. You can also back up your Microsoft Outlook Express e-mail account profiles (also called Identities). If you have multiple Outlook Express profiles, you have the option to choose any for inclusion in the backup. Click Next.

     



     

  13. Click Next.

     



     

  14. The Bell Aliant Backup Manager will now Backup files you have selected to be backed up. Click Next when it's done.

     



     

  15. Click Finish.
