Follow these easy steps:

  1. Download an FTP program.

An FTP program is used to send files across the Internet. When creating your web site, you will need an FTP program to transfer your files to the personal web server.

Bell Aliant recommends downloading CuteFTP or WS_FTP for their simplicity of use. You can download an FTP program from http://www.tucows.com or http://www.downloads.com.. (Note: these sites are not affiliated with Aliant).

  2. Setup your FTP program.

Most of the FTP programs have tutorials explaining how to setup and use. We have included documents to assist you in configuring CuteFTP - or configuring WS_FTP.

  3. Transfer your files.

Using graphical a FTP client (like CuteFTP or WS_FTP) simplifies file transfers by allowing you to drag and drop file icons between windows. Usually, the content of your PC is on the left side and your Personal Web Space is on the right. Simply drag and drop the files from the left window to the right and the transfer should be automatic.
