There are several things that could be causing your remote to stop working.
Follow each one of these options until your issue is resolved:
Check the power to the receiver
- Check to see if there is a ring of green light around the POWER button on the front of your Fibe receiver.
- If there is no light-ring, press the POWER button until the light-ring turns on.
- If the light-ring does not turn on, check to make sure the power cord is firmly plugged into the back of the receiver and is connected to a working power outlet.
- To test your remote, point your remote at the receiver and press the GUIDE button. The TV guide should display if your remote is working.
Replace the batteries in the Fibe remote
- Check that the batteries in the Fibe remote are firmly in place.
- To test your remote, point your remote at the receiver and press the GUIDE button. The TV guide should display if your remote is working.
- If the remote is not working, replace the batteries in the remote.
- To test your remote, point your remote at the receiver and press the GUIDE button. The TV guide should display if your remote is working.
Check the line of sight between the remote and the receiver
- Point your Fibe remote directly at your receiver.
- Look at the position of the receiver and remove any items the line of sight between the receiver and remote.
- Remove any laptops from the immediate area. Wireless laptops can interfere with the signal between the remote and the receiver.
- To test your remote, point your remote at the receiver and press the GUIDE button. The TV guide should display if your remote is working.
