Smart Arming

Smart Arming

You can customize arming schedules to automatically arm and disarm a system. This provides you with robust scheduling options to auto-arm and auto-disarm by the day of the week and time of day. Activate Smart Arming at a set time or when sensors detect activity.

The Smart Arming feature automatically sets your system to Arm Stay when you go to bed and disarms it when you wake up.

To enable Smart Arming:

  1. Log in to the Bell Smart Home app or web portal.
  2. Select the clock icon from the security system.
  3. Toggle Smart Arming on.
  4. Select a time and then Save.
  5. Select a sensor and then Save.

What happens if I change my routine?

You can always arm or disarm your system with a larger time range. For example, you can disarm the system between 7 a.m. and 9 a.m.

On one-off occasions, you can manually disarm then arm the system. If Smart Arming is set to disarm at 7 a.m., but the dog wakes up at 6 a.m., you’d need to disarm your system before letting your dog out. Once your dog comes back in, you can choose to leave your system disarmed or manually arm your system again.

What happens when I go on vacation?

When you leave for vacation, you can set your system to Armed Away. Once the system is set to Armed Away, you cannot disarm it while you’re away. You may disarm the system once you’re back.
