If youʼre replacing an existing PVR, please note that your recordings cannot be transferred to the new one. They will be lost.
- Your future scheduled recordings will remain but your but your savedrecordings will not be available on your new PVR.
- The installation will take approximately 25 minutes.
Note: If this is a new receiver skip this section.
- Turn on your TV.
- Press the MENU button on your remote.
- Use the right-arrow to scroll to Settings.
- Press the OK on your remote. The Settings screen displays.
- Use the down-arrow on your remote to scroll to General.
- Press the OK button on your remote.
- Use your down-arrow to scroll to Unregister receiver.
- Press OK on your remote. The registration screen appears.
- Your registration number is displayed beside the Number field.
- Use the number buttons on your remote to enter your registration number into the Number field.
- Press the OK button on your remote.
- The PVR reboots. This takes approximately 2-3 minutes to complete. Once the reboot is complete, the Client Registration screen displays.
- Disconnect all cables from your current receiver and connect them to the corresponding connections on your new receiver. If you have a coaxial connection, use the wrench provided to tighten the cable. Be careful not to over tighten.
- Connect the new receiver to a power outlet using the cable that came with it. This will turn on the receiver.
Note: It is normal for the lights on the receiver to flicker while starting up.
- Turn on your TV and select the input that matches the connection from step 1 (HDMI 1, HDMI 2, Video 1, etc.).
Within 5 minutes, the registration app will appear on your TV. - The Client Registration screen appears on your TV. Press the OK button on your remote.
- Your new PVR receiver begins the registration process.
- Press the right-arrow button on the remote to scroll to the registration number field.
- Using the number buttons on your remote enter the registration number for your receiver.
- Press the OK button on your remote.
- The question Master PVR / RVP principal appears.
- Select Yes / Oui to the question Master PVR / RVP principal.
- Press the OK button on your remote.
- The Registration / Enregistrement successful screen displays.
- The Fibe Guide downloads. This may take 2-3 minutes to complete.
- Once this process is complete, you are automatically taken to live TV programming.
- If you are prompted for a password, use the number buttons on the remote to enter 1234 with your remote.
You are now ready to personalize your PVR with your settings.
- Pack the old PVR and it's power cord into the box you received with your self-installation package.
- Attach the return label provided.
- Take the package to your nearest Canada Post outlet.
- Keep a copy of the tracking number provided by Canada Post.
Important: If the PVR is not returned within 30 days of the receipt of your new PVR, you will be charged a fee of $300.
