Install or replace your wired HD receiver or PVR

If youʼre replacing an existing PVR, please note that your recordings cannot be transferred to the new one. They will be lost.

 

Introduction

  • Your future scheduled recordings will remain but your but your savedrecordings will not be available on your new PVR.
  • The installation will take approximately 25 minutes.

 

 

Unregister your old PVR receiver

Note: If this is a new receiver skip this section.

  1. Turn on your TV.
  2. Press the MENU button on your remote.
  3. Use the right-arrow to scroll to Settings.
  4. Press the OK on your remote. The Settings screen displays.
  5. Use the down-arrow on your remote to scroll to General.
  6. Press the OK button on your remote.
  7. Use your down-arrow to scroll to Unregister receiver.
  8. Press OK on your remote. The registration screen appears.
  9. Your registration number is displayed beside the Number field.
  10. Use the number buttons on your remote to enter your registration number into the Number field.
  11. Press the OK button on your remote.
  12. The PVR reboots. This takes approximately 2-3 minutes to complete. Once the reboot is complete, the Client Registration screen displays.

Personalize your new PVR

 

Return your old PVR

  1. Pack the old PVR and it's power cord into the box you received with your self-installation package.
  2. Attach the return label provided.
  3. Take the package to your nearest Canada Post outlet.
  4. Keep a copy of the tracking number provided by Canada Post.

Important: If the PVR is not returned within 30 days of the receipt of your new PVR, you will be charged a fee of $300.
