Loss of internet service

How will I know if there has been a loss of internet service

  • There will not be any notifications
  • You will receive an error message indicating a lack of internet connection when you  log on via the portals or app(s)  

    What happens with the system:

    • All Alarms will work as usual.
    • System arm/disarm can only be completed at the keypad or through the key fob (where applicable) 
    • Previously set automations will still work (ie doors will still lock, lights will still come on, etc.)
    • Previously recorded video will still be available in portal and on apps, but no new video/images will be captured during the outage.
    • No new automations can be programmed, video recorded or alerts set during an internet outage.

    What to do during the outage:

    • System arm/disarm can only be completed at the keypad or through the key fob (where applicable)
    • Troubleshoot cables and power to your modem. 
    • Call Bell Aliant to report your loss of internet
