You can replace your existing wired receiver with a new wireless receiver in 6 easy steps. Watch our video or follow the steps below for more information.
Introduction
- The installation will take approximately 25 minutes.
Unregister old receiver
- Turn on your TV.
- Press the MENU button on your Fibe remote.
- Use your down-arrow to scroll to Settings.
- Press OK on your remote. The Settings screen displays.
- Use your down-arrow to select System info.
- Press OK on your remote.
- Use your right-arrow to scroll to Unregister receiver.
- Press OK on your remote.
- Your registration number is displayed beside the Number field.
- Use the number pad on your remote to enter your registration number.
- Press OK on your remote.
- The receiver will reboot. This takes approximately 2-3 minutes to complete. Once the reboot is complete, the Client Registration screen displays.
- You are now ready to move to the next step.
Reboot your Fibe modem
- Find your Fibe modem.
- Reboot your modem by unplugging the power adapter from the wall.
- Wait 30 seconds and then plug the power adapter back in.
Reboot your Fibe receivers
- Reboot your receivers by unplugging the power adapter from the wall.
- Wait 30 seconds and then plug the power adapter back in.
Connect the wireless receiver
- Make sure there are no cables connected to the network port on the back of the wireless TV receiver.
- Connect the wireless receiver to your TV with a HDMI cable.
- Plug the power cord from the wireless receiver into an electrical outlet. The receiver takes a minute to powers up.
- Set your TV to the proper input screen by choosing the option that matches your cables. For more help, visit http://bellaliant.ca/inputsource
Pair the wireless tv receiver
- Wait for Connecting to your receiver to appear on screen
- Press the WPS button located on the front of your modem. The modem is also called the transmitter on the instructions that appear on your TV screen.
- You have 2 minutes to press the OK button on your receiver or you will need to repeat step 2 again.
- Wait for the green Connected checkmark to appear on your TV screen.
- Once it appears, press OK on your Fibe remote to start the registration.
- The Client Registration screen displays. Press OK on your remote to begin registering your new PVR.
- Press the right arrow to bring you to the registration number field.
- Using the number pad on your remote enter the registration number for your receiver. This can be found on the welcome letter in your self-installation kit.
- Press OK on your remote.
- Select Yes / Oui when asked if this is the correct number.
- Press OK on your remote.
- The Registration / Enregistrement successful screen displays.
- The receiver will automatically reboot and the Fibe Guide will download. This takes may 2-3 minutes to complete.
- Once this process is complete, you will automatically be taken to Fibe TV1.
- If you are prompted for a password, enter 1234 with your remote.
Personalize your new receiver
You are now ready to personalize your receiver with your settings.
Return your old receiver
- Pack the old receiver and it's power cord into the box you received with your self-installation package.
- Attach the return label provided.
- Take the package to your nearest Canada Post outlet.
- Keep a copy of the tracking number provided by Canada Post.
Important: If the receiver is not returned within 30 days of the receipt of your new receiver, you will be charged a fee of $300.
