Business phone voicemail upgrade
Between January and March, 2024, we’re upgrading our Voicemail portal that allows you to manage your voicemail messages online.
As we strive to provide our customers with great service, this upgrade will come with improved experience, enhanced security and access to more features and functionalities.
Impacts to your service
How will this upgrade impact my voicemail service?
Once you’re successfully migrated, you’ll be able to access the new Voicemail manager portal and enable features such as voicemail to email and text message notification. All your voicemail settings, including your password, greetings and saved messages, will be moved seamlessly to the new platform. You won’t be able to access the current portal after you’re migrated to the new one.
Will I miss any voicemail messages during the upgrade?
Your voicemail service will only be migrated when it’s not in use and it will take almost no time. Therefore, you should be able to receive voicemail messages as usual.
Will there be any impact to my billing?
There will be no impact to your billing as a result of this upgrade.
Accessing the new Voicemail manager portal
When should I start using the new portal?
You’ll receive a voicemail message in your mailbox to notify you once your voicemail service is migrated and you can then access and start using the new portal.
How do I access the new Voicemail manager portal?
Once you’re migrated, please visit bellaliant.ca/vm to access Voicemail manager. You’ll receive a voicemail from us to confirm that your account is active on the new portal. Use your 10-digit mailbox number and password to log in. You’ll be prompted to create a new password for future visits.
Will I still be able to access the current Voicemail portal?
Once you’re migrated, your login credentials will no longer be valid on the current Voicemail portal. Instead, you’ll be able to access all your voicemail messages and settings on the new portal.
Features available on the new portal
What features will be available on the new Voicemail manager portal?
You’ll be able to access the following features on the upgraded Voicemail manager:
- Listen to and delete messages
- Reset and change your voicemail password
- Change guest and voicemail language
- Enable voicemail to email
- Enable text message notification
- Manage group distribution lists
Will outcall notification to a telephone number still be available?
The outcall notification to a telephone number feature will be withdrawn once the upgrade is completed. It will be replaced by voicemail to email or text message notification (to Bell Mobility numbers only). You can easily turn on these features on the upgraded Voicemail manager portal once you’re migrated.
How do I turn on voicemail to email?
Voicemail to email allows you to receive notifications and listen to incoming voicemail messages in your email mailbox in an audio format. You’ll be able to turn on this feature in Voicemail manager once you have access to the new portal.
How do I turn on text message notification?
Text message notification sends a text message to your Bell Mobility number when you receive a new voicemail. You’ll be able to turn on this feature in Voicemail manager once you have access to the new portal.
